This Privacy Statement covers what we do with the information that we collect when you are accessing or using our Websites or when you contact us in any manner, including by phone or when you visit our shop. We collect Personal Information in two ways.  Information you give us in response to questions we ask and information we collect automatically.


Information you Provide to us:
When you visit our website and use the Contact Us page on the website we ask for certain pieces of information.   If you telephone us or call in person we may ask for additional information.  If you correspond with us by letter you will provide personal information that we may use.

Events
We collect Personal Information that you supply to us at Events such as ‘Open Days’ or ‘Hearing Exhibitions’. This is done verbally or by you using one of our data collection forms.  This may be hand written or in a digital format and in either instance the personal information you provide, along with your contact preferences and any consents you choose to give us, will be recorded in our CRM system . This will then be used to provide you with the information e.g Monthly e-Newsletters or other services you have requested from us.


Special Category Data
In addition to the Personal Data that we collect, and is listed and described above, other ‘Special Category’ data relating to your general health and in particular information specific to the state of your hearing health will collected within the process of us providing our services and products as Hearing Aid Audiologists.  


We will collect this as part of the patient medical record keeping required by our professional body the HCPC http://www.hcpc-uk.org   from hearing assessments and other services we provide to you.  This information is confidential and will be handled only in line with the HCPC Confidentiality Policy. For example, if we needed to share it with your GP or other medical practitioner.

Information we collect automatically:


Website.
When someone visits www.viphearingsolutions.co.uk we collect certain information related to your device, such as your devices IP address, what pages your device visited and the time and duration.


VIP Hearing Solutions Ltd. use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR MARKETING

We sometimes gather information from marketing activities undertaken on our behalf by third party organisations.  They will have obtained consent to use the information for these purposes from the Data Subjects before using it.  If you would like to know more about these third party organisations please contact the VIP Hearing Solutions Privacy Officer using hear@viphearingsolutions.co.uk


Responses from these marketing activities come directly to VIP Hearing Solutions.  We will enter the personal information collected into our CRM system and check with you to record your preferences for how, and about what, you wish to be contacted by us in the future.  Should you request that your information is erased we will deal with this in line with our Right to Erasure Policy.

  • We do not directly share or disclose your Personal Information through International Data Transfers from the UK to any other country.  Our Hearing Aid suppliers may do this within their manufacturing process and data storage providers such as Dropbox or Google Cloud may store your Personal Information on servers outside the UK.
